Message	An experienced a/c man should be able to isolate the location of the leak. Venting the system and applying vacuum tp to the evaporator tubes at the firewall would be a sure way. R12 is CF2Cl2, one carbon, 2 flourines and 2 chlorines. 134a has no Cl. Cl can and does form HCl, hydrocloric (also known as muriatic) acid. This stuff eats through evaps. Has happened to me on other cars. A big job to pull the evap box. If that is the problem, might be a good time for a new harness.
